Did Pillayan's Secretary Secretly Meet R&AW Officials?
(September 04, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Raghu who is a first secretary to the newly appointed Chief Minister to the Eastern Province, Mr. Shivanesathurai Chandrasekaran alias Pillayan, went last week to India and secretly met some of his LTTE fans and two officials of an Indian Intelligence wing In Tamil Nadu, report Sri Lanka Guardian’s reliable sources.
Raghu went to Chennai and spent a week there on some secret mission on the future plans of TMVP. His arrival in Colombo is set for today (Sep 03) sources in Colombo reveal.
According to our Sources in Trincomalee, some pro-LTTE politicians have informed the Chief Minister Pillayan of the meeting at least one month ago and he promised his Indian contacts that he would send his first secretary for the meeting.
Finally the Chief Minister arranged this visit to Chennai as a pilgrim without the Government’s knowledge. Meanwhile our sources in Chennai, confirm that Raghu was meeting two high ranking officials of the Tamil Nadu Section of the Research and Analysis Wing, the Indian External Intelligence agency in Chennai, together with pro-LTTE politicians.
Meanwhile Pillayan was meeting P. Chandrasekaran in Colombo. Our sources say that arrangements for this meeting occurred with his support. Unfortunately the Government of Sri Lanka does not seem to be aware of anything of these bad developments.
Raghu had been in Australia where he was a popular fundraiser for the LTTE and worked with TBC radio in Australia. However when Vinayagamoorthy Muralidaran was arrested in London after his arrival there on a fake passport, Raghu returned to Sri Lanka. He was introduced to Pillayan by one of the latter’s political advisers.
"The situation in the East is disturbed with another two Special Task Force cadres shot dead in Amparai. The time has come for the Sri Lankan Government to rethink its policies in the East before the present honeymoon period is destroyed." So a source expressed his opinion to Sri Lanka Guardian.
