LTTE expands secondary runway : Mullaithivu True or Red Herring?

LTTE expands secondary runway : Mullaithivu

Surely, if the runway stories are true why cannot the Russian MIG 29 jets drop a few bombs instead of destroying Tamil civilian homes, schools and hospitals?

(August 17, Colombo, Sri Lanka Guardian) Latest UAV footage suggests that the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) are expanding their smaller runway in Puthukuduirippu, Mullaithivu. The exact reason for this is still unknown but the situation is being closely monitored as per MI warnings.

Intelligence reports from the Wanni indicate that as much as thousand more new tiger recruits are being given combat training in hidden jungle bases in Vishwamadu. LTTE has increased it's forcible conscriptions as SLA troops inch closer to their major strongholds in Kilinochchi and Mullaithiv. Current position of one of the brigades of the army's 58 division is now just 14km north east of Kilinochchi town and 18km south of LTTE stronghold of Pooneryn.

Meanwhile SLA's 57 division is continuing their march towards Tunukkai. Small squads from the army's special forces regiment are also active in this area. Forces are facing heavy resistance as the tiger try hard to save both Tunukkai and Mallavi from falling to the SLA. These areas are heavily mined and booby trapped hence the operations are continuing at a somewhat slower pace.

In other news the MoD has posted video footage of a rescue mission conducted by the SLAF. The video shows a gunship and a transport helicopter with reinforcements rescue a group of Special Forces soldiers who were on a LRS mission deep inside LTTE held territory in Kilinochchi district. 2 SF members were lost and one of the bodies was captured (and later retrieved via ICRC) by the LTTE. The rest of the group who valiantly held off the tigers until help arrived, were saved in the daring rescue mission.
end:

Once again, red herring stories of the bogey of long runways, thousands of 18 year olds being conscripted, and trained is a desperate attempt by the Rajapakes'e, and American Permanent resident General Fonseka to provide further lame excuses of why they cannot capture a small town od the highway Jaffna - Kandy highway - A9. The town of Killinochchi is very much smaller than Katana, or Wattala or Nittambuwa and with the total force of only 5,000 Tamil Freedom fighters as claimed by the US citizen and Defense Secretary Gothabaya Rajapakse, the quarter million fully trained armed forces, with another quarter million Police, Home Guards, and Para military forces the GOSL forces with daily bombing and shelling are unable to advance a few hundred yards down A 9 or any other village road.

The idiots and dumb fools cannot simply understand aviation in the sense if the footage of UAV suggest that long runways are being constructed to permit the landing of larger aircrafts since Mahinda Rajapakse became Prime MInister over 4 years ago on April 4, 2004, how does the LTTE build the concrete or strong runway in the middle of the jungle without any steel or cement? Or how do they import any thing with the India, US, and Sri Lankan navy and air force patrolling the high seas east of Point Pedro and Mullai Theevu?

These stories are utter "poppy cock", unless LTTE is some magical fighting force, which some Tamils quite rightly believe.

Didn't GOSL under President Chandrika Bandaranayake control Killinochchi, Mankulam, Elephant Pass, Muhamallai, Omantha, and Mullaitheevu and lost it with over 3,000 Sinhala soldiers dying in vain to prevent the new nation of Eelam? In 8 weeks the rainy season sets in with the North East monsoon and may be the soldiers might need extra rain coats, and other additional equipment to wade through the mud and water. Didn't Fonseka learn the lesson from the Elephant Pass, and Mullaitheevu losses, or the thrashing he received from the Jaya Sikuru misadventure under another General Nondi Anruddha Ratwatte, the former President's uncle?

It is similar to Pakistani soldiers under General Tiger Niazi dying to prevent the bloody birth of Bangla Desh in 1971, and GOSL under the leadership of President Chandrika' mother supported the Pakistany military by permitting refueling and other facilities to Pakistan.

The UNP did not oppose such facilities under J R, and there was a young MP, 22 year old from the Beliatte electorate who had no clue what was going on and was busy bowing down to the Bandaranayake's whenever they were passing by. No wonder he has such a good spine and that is from all the bending he did, when he was a young MP between 1970 to 1977 to loose the elections in 1977 and could not enter Parliament for another 12 years.

Surely, if the runway stories are true why cannot the Russian MIG 29 jets drop a few bombs instead of destroying Tamil civilian homes, schools and hospitals?

To the GOSL an dthe Sinhgalese, APEY KONDE BATHAPPU CHINNO NEVAI.

Who are they fooling or else the Sinhalese pilots are simply Baya Gullahs, to bomb the runway. (Cowards). ? They have the coordinates of the area like an astrologer having the details of the Rajapakse palm.
