Foreign Minister denies meeting with Bruce Fein in Canada or USA during question time in Parliament.

Foreign Minister denies meeting with Bruce Fein in Canada or USA during question time in Parliament.

The Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, Rohitha Bogollagama denied in Parliament today, at 12.35 PM Wednesday, 7th August 2008, that he had a meeting with Bruce Fein in Canada or New York, in response to a question raised in Parliament by former Minister of Trade and Commerce, and Colombo District leader of the UNP Ravi Karanayakake. The question was raised at 10.35 AM, and the Foreign Minister wanted time to respond.

The founder of the Tamils For Justice Jayantha Gnanakone in a statement issued from Los Angeles Today, confirmed that Sinhala attorney Sena Basanayake a former neighbor of T4J attorney Bruce Fein for a decade had arranged a secret meeting for him to meet the foreign minister in his hotel around the 9th or 10th of May. However, Bruce Fein casually mentioned a few days later that the meeting was cancelled, due to scheduling difficulties for the minister, but he forgot to mention to the Tamils For Justice immediately. Both parties were in New York during that period, but this alleged cancellation assumed additional importance given his change in attitude and conduct soon after, and how Bruce Fein left Tamils For Justice, and joined Justice For Tamils, and parties connected to proscribed organizations in Canada and USA. It was found that Sena Basanayake also was involved with Bruce Fein on The “FOSUS” issues where the agreement was prepared by Bruce Fein to work against the Tamils by him for a fee of $25,000. That information was not disclosed to Tamils For Justice, as he claimed that he simply forgot. He also forgot to disclose about the article he wrote against the Tamils in 2004, and it was definitely at the behest of Sinhalese and not at his own free will as a constitutional matter. How US constitution and LTTE, and Dr. Jeyalingam features specifically in the major portion of the Washington Times article is more than strange and was not coincidental.

Bruce Fein has now attached himself for a undisclosed fee, and terms to undertake that the 2 Rajapakse brothers, Basil and Gothabaya and Gen. Sarath Fonseka are involved with “genocide” in Sri Lanka, and that he is confident that he would litigate that matter in US courts. No mentioned of the costs of litigation has been mentioned. There has not been any time limits provided, and seems to be another promise made that will not be kept on an open ended basis, as he lacks the real court experiences in a decade or two in litigation. The new organization is called Tamils against Genocide, and the persons behind it are not yet coming forward due to their dubious background or involvement with banned charities or Tamils who are under federal investigations.

Nevertheless, Tamils For Justice calls upon their former attorney to be honest and confirm the arrangements made by Sena Basanayake for Bruce Fein for the meeting with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, Rohitha Bogollagama. If he denies that such arrangements were made, he is not only a “liar”, but could be also considered a great risk to the Tamils, as Tamils For Justice questions the character of the man, who could make deals with the devils with any side, any where, and at any time for his sole financial benefit. His track record clearly proves so, given the fact he has not accounted for all funds collected, work promised and left unfinished, and not returning any property of Tamils For Justice. Tamils for Justice wish to reiterate that Bruce Fein himself in writing has confirmed that 95% of the funds collected in Canada was in cash, which he has denied to the Toronto Star, for obvious reasons.

The Canadian outfit led by Subakanth Pararajasingam and Bavan Sriskandarajah in their
website originally claimed that they and Bruce Fein had changed the name of the
Tamils For Justice to Justice For Thamils, in a fraudulent manner. (http://www.justiceforthamils.org/tuys.html)
