KL: Penang Province Deputy Premier, Pathuvan constituency member of Parliament, Professor P. Ramasamy pleaded with the Malaysian government immediately organize a special meeting to pass a resolution to save the Sri Lankan Tamils. Professor P. Ramasamy said that, Malaysian government enacted special resolution the save the Palestine from the Israel attacks. It is important our government also do the same with Eelam Tamils as they are facing similar situation from the Sri Lankan aggressor.

Over 320,000 Tamil people are in dire need of assistance in the northern (Vanni) areas of Sri Lanka due to the bloody and brutal military operations against its own Tamil citizens.

This situation have gone to the worst catastrophic humanitarian tragedy as Sri Lankan forces indiscriminately shelling and bombing them. From the beginning of this year alone, 28 civilians were killed and over 185 injured so far.

Malaysian Indian Congress members, community leaders, non governmental organization officials gathered also condemned the Sri LankaĆ¢€™s continued killing of innocent Eelam Tamil and urged the international community including the Malaysian government to stop the genocides of Tamils in Sri Lanka and find a acceptable negotiated settlement to the past sixty years protracted conflict in Sri Lanka.

Malaysian Indian Congress members, also part of the ruling coalition partner said the International community cannot be a mute spectator of the worst form of genocide which is taking place against Tamils by Sri Lanka. U.N should get involved and bring the warring parties to the negotiating table to find an acceptable solution to the Eelam Tamils. U.N also should pass resolution on Sri Lanka to save these Tamil civilians from annihilation.
